I will always love tent camping and what you described is a fantastic field camp! Our camping is mostly dispersed and it's common for us to camp a different place every night, made easy by our minimalist setup (including at times a tarp on the ground with a COMFY mattress). Other than backpacking our RPod fits into this pretty well too even though we won't take it every place that we currently drive our 4WD trucks, we'll still get to lots of isolated places with it and relatively quick set up. And we're already enjoying camping in campgrounds with hookups as yet another option. So many variations on the theme, RPod's size and maneuverability really fit well for us. And yeah, a shower! Wow! Quite a step up from my solar shower bags that hang from the rack on my truck. Hike, shower, rinse, repeat. Thanks RPod!

I have not used the shower in the pod yet so it is good to here you enjoy it that much. Another necessity I had when tent camping was my pop up shower, one that still goes with me in the pod. When we hunt, we religiously take showers every day and we found the most efficient way to do so. My buddy uses a car battery, bilge pump and a 8 gallon pot that can just about put a house shower to shame!
-always camp by water, preferably a creek.
-fill water jugs in morning and let sit in the sun for the day if possible, not necessary though.
I got the cabelas instant shower that sets up like a quick shade. Lots of room and sheltered from the elements. I pair this with a zodi hot tap shower and a old metal chair that I borrow from my friend every year because I forget one! Burner goes right outside shower usually hanging from rope tied between shower and tree. I preheat water a bit on my outside camp stove and you can have as hot a shower as you can stand. 5g bucket of water sits on chair inside shower so I can easily put shower head in to recirculate water when soaping up. I am more than impressed with the zodi and how good of shower you can get with 5g of water. I only do this when dispersed camping although in the right campground I wouldn't hesitate to use it.
When camping in high cascade lakes of Oregon I told my wife I was going out to take a shower and she said ..yeah right.. (she hadn't seen my shower setup yet) ..within 10 minutes she peeked out the back pod window (still too cold for her to get out of bed with our 1 year old) and saw steam a rollin out of my shower house! I like the ability to use our resources and take as long as shower As i want without filling the tanks, though I do want to try the pod shower.
Just keep the shower a little ways away from water sources and you're good. 200' I believe when dispersed camping.
