I have a new Pod that has been on one short trip so far.  It has been parked for the past six weeks on my inclined driveway.  I got a new TV and hauled the Pod two blocks away to a parking lot so I could measure the the receiver height level.  After I got my measurement and got reattached I noticed it felt kind sluggish to pull and I heard soft brake squeal even when my brakes were not applied.  I suppose it's possible that it was the same when I towed it to the lot, but I wasn't aware of it.  When I got parked at home again my wife said the wheel was smoking-- sure enough the brake drum was hot to the touch.

Now what do I do?

Is it possible that the brakes got rusted and stuck in the past six weeks?

Check your emergency breakaway switch. It might have been unplugged.

One side? The Ebrake switch should engage both sides. Unless there is a wiring issue at hub that only allows one brake engagement. Checking switch is easy. After that look at locked side.

Glad you found that issue, so you had one locked brake? I could be wrong but I don't think the ebrake locks one brake. I need to check.

I only touched one brake drum, and my wife only saw the one I touched because of where she was standing. I'd guess they were both hot--on.
