I was going to change out our old light fixtures for LED, but found a pack of 20 LED bulbs on Amazon for $15 that fit into the sockets perfectly.  Now we have full LED lighting inside and 10 extra bulbs.  I'm going to replace the outside light with an LED as soon as it arrives.  It has a 1034 socket instead of the plug in sockets that are on the inside.  It's a really cheap upgrade with plenty of light and significantly reduced power consumption for the battery.  Here's the Amazon link incase you want to take a look:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076V9XXW6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

What vintage is your R-pod lostagain? Seems like you found an ideal solution. They're making LEDs so inexpensively these days, it seems like this would be an ideal solution for anyone with an R-pod that is more than 3 or 4 years old.

Our Pod is a 2009.  The lights were really easy to put in and I have enough spares to completely replace all the bulbs again.  I have to track down a bulb for the outside light that has a single post on the bottom.  I think it's a 1034 plug, if I remember my car lightbulb days correctly.  But since we've not used it for more than about 10 minutes in 2 years, I think it's going to be put off until I win the lottery.  Replacing the bulbs sure beats replacing the fixtures.

Perfect, thanks! How do you like the quality of the light? i.e. is the brightness good? Is the light really cold or is it more like daylight?

The light is definitely whiter/bluer, but it is more like a daylight spectrum bulb.  The brightness, compared to the old halogen bulbs, is slightly less, but not enough to make a difference.  Given the lower power consumption, it's clearly and advantage if you like to boondock.
