If you found a fuse that blew when it was supposed to, wouldn't that be a good fuse (but blown)? Just kidding; I'm glad that was the extent of the damage.

That's nice but it won't power the TV.

An inverter is great for the TV though. 200W will be more than enough; the 19" Jensen TV originally in our 179 was rated at 17W. I'm not sure how much power our Samsung 24" LED TV draws.

You don't need an inverter to charge cellphone - I installed one of these and it works great:

Why not just use a tea kettle on the stove?

Not to mention you'd need something like 2 AWG wire feeding that inverter.

Thanks everyone. I am going to check the fuses with a multimeter and go from there. I just ordered the BESTEK 200W Power Inverter that I want to plug into this 12 volt plug so I can charge my cell phone and use the TV when we don't have hook-ups.

I thought about that after I replied. BTW, you'd also need at least a 1500W inverter.
