So I'm curious? We noticed our 2018 r189 has open slots [] in the end of the frame on either side. Are there caps for these, or even possible storage uses/ideas for these spaces? Thought about stashing my cane 🎣 fishing poles in there πŸ˜€

I never found suitable caps. I made two removable plugs for mine because the red wasps were continually building nests in the frame. Cane pole storage might work. My frame has bolts thru it securing the tank brackets.

I've thought about storing long poles in there.  I have a weather instrument that includes a wind vane (Link) that I'd like to mount up high on 10 or 20 feet of conduit.  I think the hollow frame would work, but I've never tried it.  Mike is right about about bolts and things in there, I'm sure.  A cap would be an issue for storage.  And they might be open on purpose to let any water out.

They make plastic caps for steel fenceposts and outdoor metal buildings and such. Google 2x4 plastic caps, should just pop right in with a little persuasion.
I used the open frame holes for a simple way to mount a bumper. Pics in my mod link at the bottom.
