We have camped once and now must winterize til Spring.  We've emptied the fresh watertank, opened both drains (gray and black?) opened all faucets, drained the hot water heater.  Not sure which valves to open on the reservoir under the bed.  I'm sure we've missed something(s).  We bought RV antifreeze but are not sure where and how much to dispense.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We previously had a pop-up and this is luxury by comparison.  Can hardly wait til next Spring.

Welcome to the group! Congrats on your 179. It takes us 1 gallon of anti freeze to winterize our 179. The bypass valve should be under the bed behind the heater vent. You will also find the suction hose there. We put that in the anti freeze and turn on the water pump and open each faucet until the pink stuff comes out. We also the the city water connect on the outside. Then whatever is left in the bottle we dump into the sink trap and toilet.
Takes us about 1/2 hr to an hour.

Ted,

YouTube, many vids on winterizing, 179s are quite popular, step by step. Use the interweb brother.

Dont forget about the outside shower and (particularly) the water supply that feeds the toilet. Bought my 179 last spring and found out the hard way that the previous owner didn't properly winterize the toilet water supply, when I went to use it the first time.. I'm now an expert at removing the toilet.....

Ted,

I have a 179 and a very detailed YouTube Video on winterizing it. Just did it myself this past Saturday. Click my YouTube link below and look for the winterization video. Feel free to Private Message me with any questions. Happy to help. ~PP

Thanks for the reply in tips on winterizing. I’ll be sure to catch the water supply that feeds the toilet. I don’t want to become an expert at removing the toilet in replacing.

Thanks for the welcome. We sure enjoyed our first trip out. Also thanks for the tips on winterizing. It looked a bit daunting at first, but your reply and others have helped make it doable.
