What manufacturers of the double step have you used to replace the single step on your pod and how did the installation go?

I used the Stromberg Carlson: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T36HGYK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It will go in using one of the existing mounting holes and modifying the other, but it stuck out too far for my liking. I cut the frame of the steps back so it is flush with the mounting plates in the front, and raised it as much as I could without having to alter the bottom of the mounting plates. I drilled new mounting holes to match the existing ones and bolted it in place. I had to use new bolts, since the existing ones were overtightened so bad 3 of the 4 snapped when I tried to remove them and the fourth had badly damaged threads.
It was a couple hours of work, but well worth it.

That is what I was thinking the strongbergs would need to be modified. Would they work temporarily with out modifying I am on a trip right now and would have to install them in the field so to speak.

You might be able to use some thick zip ties through the holes closest to the center of the Pod. Those holes will mostly only have part of the weight of the steps themselves on them; stepping on the steps would actually slacken the ties. I'd definitely double-up or triple-up the ties though.

I have the FLEXCO 2 step. I had to modify two holes but am satisfied with the step.

I don't remember how close the bold holes were without modification, I know one lined up perfectly and the other was a bit off. If you have a rattail file I am sure you could make it work. The steps are completely useable without the notching mod I did.
