As others have posted, you just need to know width of slide and add 6". I don't know what a 179 slide measures, I know it is big. My cover is 6 1/2' and the slide is 6', that's a 178 and a 180 I know of.

Installed mine by myself with the help of a 6' stepladder to hold one end up.  It'd doable.

I don't have mine here to confirm, but if I recall correctly, it was about 110" from outside edge of the flange to outside edge of the flange which, when 6" is added would mean that I would need a 9.5' or 10' cover depending on which way I round. I think I will measure the keder track to confirm the maximum length I can use when I get it back home from the dealer. I'm still waiting on an answer about the axle.

I just went out and checked. The outside flange of our 2016/2017 RP-179 is right at 109". The keder rail is almost exactly the same dimension. Not to get too nit-picky, but plus 6" puts that right at 115" or 9 feet, 7 inches. Give or take .04".

I got the 98-105" length with our Carefree Slide Cover (original version) and it fits perfectly.

Either the 10' or 9 1/2' would work. The slide out mounts have sufficient length to adapt. That would be for the etrailer provided one.
