The latest word to me from Forest River just now -

"As, previously stated, you are more than welcome to send those photos to me if you wish but Forest River will not be contributing toward any repairs."

Apparently they have made up their minds and are quite content.

My problem with the broken angle bracket is that I am afraid that this is a "systematic problem". That is, while the assembly line was chugging along, someone suddenly realized that they had run out of the proper angle brackets. Looking around wildly, they grabbed something out of the parts bin and slapped it on, and continued doing so until a harassed shop manager managed to find, and open, a new box of the proper angle brackets. So, there may be one, or two, or twenty R-Pods out there quietly waiting to break their angle brackets at the worst possible time - Rolling along in rush hour traffic at 60 mph.

I have informed the NHTSA of this situation and expressed the opinion that this is truly a life and death emergency situation. Hopefully they will be more concerned than Forest River.

In the meantime, I suggest that all of us who have purchased R-Pods around the spring of 2014 take a good look at their angle brackets.

Does your left side bracket look the same as the right side one?
