The first time it leaked I was sound asleep and all I could do was put down a pan to catch the drip. Got up on the roof and couldn’t find the leak anywhere. Got a can of flex seal and applied liberally around the exhaust fan. Thought that did it. But months later it is leaking again. Water gets to the light in front of the sink and ruins it.
My question is has anyone else had this problem? And what did you do to make a permanent repair?

Educated guess, remove the AC cover (inside) and tighten the hardware that secures AC unit to roof. There is a seal between AC unit and interior. Some have seen loose mounting bolts.

There are more screws holding the inside shroud than you would think. They also are not the easiest to see. Be sure to take  a flashlight and look closely for the screw heads.

While you have the shroud off, take the opportunity to clean the inside and add some closed-cell foam to the inside of the shroud, being careful to not block any moving louvers. It will help reduce the AC noise some, especially with the big center vent shut.
