Fridge accidentally on battery

Hey all,

Thought I’d ask a question for the rPod gurus.

We got to Morro Dunes RV Park yesterday and I told my wife to switch the fridge from propane to 110 because we have full hookups. We noticed that the fan on the power converter ran off and on all night and it’s never done this before.

Just now, Thursday evening, we saw that the fridge was running on battery instead of shore power.

So the power converter was charging the battery all though the night and all of today.

Is this going to kill my battery?
Is this going to prematurely kill my converter?

Should I worry that the fridge was accidentally set for battery for about 26 hours?
My battery is a group 27 marine battery that is about a year and a half old. I try to run a trickle charger on the battery in my garage Avery couple of months to keep it maintained.

Thanks . It’s not going to hurt the converter for it to be running so hard?

I should have checked the fridge display but never even thought that it could have been set for battery.

Depending on the model, the converter is capable of 45-55 amps. The fridge only uses about 10 amps on 12V. So you weren't running it all that hard, it just probably slowed down the recharge a bit. You did not harm your battery or do any damage to your converter.
