Good find. I ended up with 5 bolt 15 inch wheels on standard Lippert 3500 lb drums. This would have been better. I'd confirm the spindles are compatible but otherwise why not? You can always reinforce your existing axle as well, and not wait till it gets decambered.

One spare, I did that on the off road trailer I built and there are some things to think about. The Toyota wheels are hub centric and the trailer hub is lug centric , if you go with Toyota wheels you will need spacers to over come this. Also TV wheels will have a off-set and trailer wheels do not, so you will need to find a spare that will fit the trailer and TV off set. I used matching Toyota wheels on my trailer with spacers and it worked great.

The spindles/4 hole brake are my concern as well so I'll remove the wheel and check before ordering.

I hadn't thought of the hub versus lug centric issue-- am wondering now if having to correct for that will push the wheels out too far...

Thanks for the replies/advice.

Good point about the offset and spacers. If you're just wanting to use the Toyota spare as the trailer spare though one set ought to do, its purpose would be to get you down the road to where the trailer tire can be repaired or replaced, not something you will be leaving on the trailer for an extended period.
