We are in the process of researching which r-pod we are going to purchase. Love some feedback. We are on the fence of the 171 and 177. Love the extra room in the 177 and more open bed space, but worrying about having a moving part (slideout) which could have breakage or leaks. I know the 177 is new, but I cannot find a lot of feedback of what people think about it.
Any facts and/or opinions that anyone could provide would be great!

Welcome splante. I got the chance to check out the slide-out versions at my dealer a few weeks ago, and while the extra space was nice I wasn't sure it was worth the extra weight and cost. I don't like getting out of bed in the middle of the night over my wife (I get the back spot in our bed in our 171), but I'm not sure the slide out would really help much. We spend most of our time outside anyway so the extra room isn't a big dea - for us.

Thanks for the feedback! Just put a deposit on the 177. Like the 171, but with 2 dogs, need a little extra room and I like the more open bed space.
