Hi everyone,  hope you are all staying healthing etc.

Just an introduction as we found ourselves randomly tossed into the R-Pod owners community.

I was casually looking for small/teardrop trailers (various models) when late last fall I saw an R-Pod at a repossession auction.  I ended up winning it.  I knew it was in pretty good shape for a 2011, but it was not until we finally got it picked up that we realized that even though it was a 2011, it was virtually brand new.  There was not a single sign of use anywhere...not a single scratch, scuff mark etc.  Even the tires looked brand new (and they have a 2010 date code on them).  Weird.

Anyways, I did have to repair a couple external damaged items...the vent cover was cracked and the waste take vent was smashed...(not sure how that happened).  Anyways....we have not even had a chance to use it yet.

I still have to give it a complete "un-winterizing" and test everything....there may be more repairs...but we'll see.  Some new tires coming, a new mattress is already here (the original looked horribly thin and uncomfortable), and we've started stocking up the things we'll need to cook etc.

Found a good deal on a 12V, 105Ah battery, built a 200W solar suitcase setup over the winter, and will see where it all goes.  Will likely do mostly boondocking with campgrounds probably closed and social distancing.

Welcome and congratulations on your RPod! I hope you have many fun adventures and make many great memories doing so. It does sound like you got a great buy. One nice thing about the RPods is that one can make modifiations to make it even more your unique RPod. We've done an number of them. I recently did a LiFePO4 battery conversion and also got a solar suitcase. Mine was only 100W though. Hopefully, you will be able to find places to boondock. We had planned a trip to Alaska this year, but it is now postponed until 2021. Likewise, we will want to do some traveling with our RPod, if nothing else but to see our grandchildren and daughters.
