Has anyone experienced any issues with their rear garage opening while driving? My in-laws said that the rear garage opened on them while they were driving in pretty steady 20-30 mph crosswinds. I was not there so I can't be sure if the latches are damaged or weren't latched properly. They also still have the camper.

I was going to ask if they locked the hatch. I always did when traveling.
The latch will spin if the setting nut is loose. Happens rarely, but once aware of it, just re-tightened as soon as I noticed any movement.

Yeah, I’ve noticed those latches are pretty poorly designed. Easy to spin them even when they are “locked”. They’d be better off designing the locks like a regular door latch/lock.

I was able to FaceTime with my in-laws. It looks like the rear garage door is off-center Ouch The photos below show the gap on the right side vs left side, and show the base of the door. I wasn't able to get photos of the top. It is still windy there and they will need a ladder. Anyone have thoughts on this? There is a local dealer nearby who services R-Pods... Otherwise I would need a longer metal piece for for the left side latch.

looking at the hinges that are used on these doors, it could be that they bent under the stress of opening the door in high winds. I suppose I could order new hinges and replace them all?! Wacko
