First of all, I use the rvlock keyless lock on my 195. I've been using this system for 4 - 5 years and love having no keys to worry about. My lock only uses the deadbolt portion of the lock. I don't see anything wrong with using only the deadbolt. Bear in mind also that there is a master key that will work on every pod, maybe even every camper, that uses the other lock. The deadbolt as far as I know (according to my dealer) has no master key, so it's probably safer. Just mho

Did you lubricate the lock with either silicone or graphite (preferred)? Did it make any difference?

You could replace the lock yourself for around $30-$40 for a manual lock. If you are willing to spend more, you could go keyless with this one: https://www.amazon.com/AP-Products-013-509-Electric-Trailer/dp/B000CJ1OZ4/

We have the Bauer keyless lock on our RPod. Keyless is a bit of a misnomer. It can be used keyless, which operates the deadbolt. The key works to decouple the outside handle so when it is pulled, nothing happens. From inside, the door can be opened. One still needs to be careful because if the key is used to lock the door, a person could exit, but then would not be able to get back in unless that person had the key. If the paddle is left unlocked, the keyless locking works great and the batteries seem to last quite a while (over a year on the first set).

The top lock does not operate at all-open or closed--I will have to find a local rpod dealer since I bought mine 4 hours away--

I did adjust the strike plate a bit-had to file it wider so it adjusts on screws out more--it helped a bit-luckily i do have the dead bolt so we can still lock it--

Thanks for input!!

Can you operate the locks with the door open? This would tell you whether the issue is with the locks themselves, or if there is some binding with the position of the door and frame. If the former, the locks could just need some lube or adjustment, if the latter, then the latch plate(s) need to be adjusted.

If you can push on the door while operating the latch and it works, then that also confirms that the latch plate likely needs to be adjusted. I would use a little locktite on the screws when you do so because I noticed that the screws in mine had a tendency to loosen over time.

Probably the door latch tongue is binding on the striker plate.  It's in need of adjustment.  If your Pod is new, why not take it to the dealer for an adjustment?  It should be tight enough to compress the seals, but no so tight that it's difficult to open.

I have a new rPod 192 and cannot lock both locks on the door.  The deadbolt lock works fine however the handle lock will not turn in either direction.  The door is extremely "tight" also, meaning I have to push hard against the door while I pull the handle open before I can open the door. My wife does not have the strength to do this so she is unable to open the door from the outside.  The hasp receiver is adjusted to the furthest point it can go---any suggestions on the door lock and the door opening issue???
