2019 179. When driving couple weeks ago was stopped by another motorist that sewer pipe was dragging on road. Unlike other posts, not a broken hanger but the sewer line pulled out of tank. On inspection, simlly looks like a hose clamp around the tank and 3" drain and stuffed with plumbers putty or similar. Seems a bit hoaky, and at least would think there would be a hanger at ghe tank end. Anyone else have this?

Probably, but mine has never come out and I am not about to remove it to check. I hope you get it back in place and tight enough so it won't come out again.

thanks for reply. Did clean up, reinsert, retighten and repack with putty, seemed to get us through weekend. Just surprised it happened at all. Was on highway, not like a dirt track. Probably will install a hanger. Curious if that (hose clamp and putty) is the way these things are.

Mine has a hose clamp. I don't know about putty. If you look in my mods, you will see my homemade pipe hanger. It allows the pipe to move a bit. I think it takes some of the stress off from where it goes into the tank also. However, I am going to go out in the morning and check mine.

The bracket holding the Black Water Pipe on my 190 failed as we were just North West of Chicago on the expressway. It dragged on the pavement for a short bit when another driver pointed below the trailer to indicate something was wrong. The pavement did a number on the outside of the pipe in front of the valve. We made a temporary repair to hold the pipe up with some line I had in my trailer. A day later I found an RV shop in North Dakota that had the parts I needed and replaced them. I used the same bolts that held the Black Water Pipe bracket in place to secure the metal strapping I wrapped around the repaired BW pipe. It is now tightly secured by two straps. I urge everyone to look at their BW pipe and add some strapping or another holder. Not fun as a road repair, and this seems to be a common R Pod problem.

There are numerous augmented support solutions on this web site. This is a known common issue.
