Topic: Does anyone remove the television over winter? Posted: 24 Oct 2020 at 1:26pm |
I’m winterizing my 190 today for the first time, and I’m wondering if it’s okay to leave the television in it over the winter. I live in New Hampshire where winters are cold.
Thanks.

Cold isn't going to harm the TV. Condensing humidity could, if you lived somewhere with high humidity where that was a problem. But NH doesn't have that problem, at least not in the winter. OTOH its not a big deal to remove the TV if you wanted to, but if you do, don't store it in a basement, that's more likely to have high humidity than the rPod is.

You can use 0-15 in the winter but just be sure to go back to 10-30 next summer.

I've never removed the television in 5 years. Never an issue so far. Be sure to either plug in atleast 15 amps to keep battery charged, or remove it. Make sure you remove any cans or bottles containing fluids that could freeze from any compartments.

And here I was thinking you meant coating the television circuit boards with oil to prevent condensation damage. My bad...

I removed it shortly after buying the RPod. Solved that issue.
