So we are finally getting our R-Pod 190 we ordered in August... Thank you Covid for the 6 month wait...

Now I know from research on the factory site that this thing weighs right around 3000lbs because i did lots of research to make sure our Pilot could tow it safely and not over tax the Pilots fragile transmission.

But the sticker says it weighs 2009 lbs. So my R-Pod must be a new model made with all carbon fiber?

Am I missing something or is the sticker wrong?

Our 196 is due in soon, I hope ours is the carbon fiber edition as well!... LOL

My guess is that you have a typo on the label, and it is probably 3009 lbs. I would find a local CAT scale and get it weighed. I believe it is a good idea to get the axle weights of the entire rig anyway, both with an empty and loaded trailer.

I would think it is a typo.  My 177 weighs in at 2415 lbs, which is quite a bit smaller than your 190.

Definitely an error on the label.

But it doesn’t matter really, the empty trailer weight is pretty meaningless. Load up the trailer, including water, gear, supplies, batteries, propane as you plan to use it. Load up the tow vehicle too, passengers, gear, fuel. Go to a public scale. Weigh three times adding one axle at a time (weight distribution hitch untensioned if you have one). Disconnect the trailer, go back through the scale, weigh two times adding each axle. You can get the weight on each axle by subtracting. The tongue weight is the combined weight of the two tow vehicle axles with the trailer minus the weight of the TV without the trailer. The trailer weight is the total weight from the first scale run minus the total weight from the second run.

Put all your weights, dimensions, and specs in this online calculator and it will tell you where you are in and out of spec. Pay particular attention to the MCGVWR if you are worried about your transmission, and to tongue weight. The calculator will also tell you what benefit you can get from a weight distribution hitch and how much tension to put on it.

Funny as both the yellow and white stickers show corresponding weights. maybe the wrong sticker package?

Since the numbers seem to be off, did you verify that that was the correct VIN number for your unit?

What did your dealer say?  That's unlikely to be correct.

You should be interested in the Unloaded Vehicle Weight, or the weight with options, propane, sans water.  Look for stickers on the door.  Forest River says my UVW is 2950 and it was just about right on.  Yours is shown at 2979 lbs.  I then added 175 lbs of dishes, pots, towels, cleaning stuff, power and hose adapters, .... and I was trying to be minimalist.

Actually I haven't even thought to point it out to them. They haven't shipped it yet. I will notify them today.
