There has always been a lot of comments of the noise level of the bathroom exhaust fan.  I know that the pitch & number of blades effects the noise levels.  Does anyone know anything about different fan blades?  Is there one that could be swapped into our pods to lower the noise level?

I can't say anything definitive, as I have no personal experience.  My unit (non-Pod) came with one of the really cheapo fans (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about), so I've been casually looking into a replacement - probably next Spring.  There seems to be 3 major "players"; Fantastic Vent(Fan), Shurflo and, Maxxair.  Each has it's own cheerleaders, as with most things.  In a couple of forum posts (on other RV forums) the persons exchanged the Fantastic unit with the Shurflo and said it was less noisy.  I seem to see the most comments about the Maxxair units and most are favorable.  The Maxxair Turbo looks interesting, to me, but $$$$.

I'm interested to see what/if anyone has any comments on this thread.

PS - The only one I've found data on was the Shurflo and it stated it's noise level was 50db (if memory serves).  It did not state at what speed the fan was running or at what distance from the fan this was measured (again, if memory serves).
