Hello to everyone! It is nice to be able to greet everyone now that I have been accepted on this forum. We have ordered a new 192 as of the beginning of Feb and are excitedly awaiting news of its build date and eventual delivery. As we wait, my wife and I have been reading all the info available on what is needed to begin enjoying our new TT. We have trailered before when our four children were young but jumped back in now that our first grandchild is expected July 2nd. I have (re)learned a lot already just reviewing all the info available here and hope to contribute a bit as the opportunity presents itself...I do have to note though that the regular members of this forum already willingly share so much hard-earned knowledge, and I would like to say thanks for that. There we go, post #1 is on the books, and have a wonderful Easter weekend!

Welcome Andy and Laurie to this forum and your 24/7 owners manual.  I can still remember the excitement we had after we ordered our 177, that was during the 1st week of January 2011.  It took a long eight weeks of waiting before we could travel the four hour trip (one way) to Escanaba (U.P. of Michigan) to pick it up.

In the meantime, continue to 'hang out' here, love to have you aboard.  I see you have plenty of vehicle to tow your 192.  May you as well have a blessed Easter weekend.

Thank you for your kind welcome. We do have a bit of a wait yet, but we can all learn to have a little more patience so we are working on ours again. I have enjoyed going over many of the old posts/discussions here. There is a difference between towing and towing safely. I have an Andersen WDH on its way (after extensive research, reviews and video's online), and I even managed to find and buy a 2nd hand Sherline hitch scale locally just after researching that as well. Funny how things just happen to work out some times! We don't have far to go to pick it up as we ordered it from a smaller, family owned RV dealer in the Sudbury, Ontario area. Another lesson learned here about buying from a local dealer as it can assist with any future maintenance or repairs.

Welcome! I know you are looking forward to the arrival of your 192. We bought our 179 in December 2015 and have had many trips with it. We are currently on a trip visiting my parents in Florida. I hope you have many fun adventures and make many great memories with your RPod.

Hello Stephen, and thank you. We are very much looking forward to making some great travel memories once we get our 192 and I have a chance to go over its systems and give it a shakedown. Right now we are still looking forward to the ice coming off the lakes in our area so Florida would certainly be a great destination to be enjoying right now! Our first trip is to Winnipeg Manitoba (2000 km/1200 miles-ish) as we are expecting our first grand child, so it should be quite memorable indeed.

Welcome Andy & Laurie. I hope you get your unit soon, and have a blast. I like the layout of the 192 although, I haven't seen it in person yet. I do wish it had a slide out. That would probably get me to trade my 195 for the 192. I would say the only things "needed" right now, is an EMS electrical protection system, and a water pressure regulator. Those are legit must haves. I would also suggest putting the r.v.lock keyless entry on the door, and camco combi-cam locks on the passthru storage. I have no keys to my camper for the last 5 years and it's nothing but awesome. No worrying about carrying keys in your bathing suit, or having to be there to let someone in. But the keyless stuff is more convenient than must have for some.

Good day, MJL, and thank you for your welcome and also the astute recommendations to help protect our trailers vital components. I have noted your earlier posts regarding the convenience factor of the keyless locks and we would like to at least upgrade the door lock. We don't know for sure what we would need to order so are waiting till we receive our trailer to try and make sure we order the right part if we decide to go for it. As for the the water press reg and the EMS, we have already purchased them both...the Hughes power watchdog seemed a pretty good choice. They and sundry other items are making a substantial pile in our basement already! As for a slide in the 192, we liked it because it doesn't have a slide, I enjoy simplicity/less potential issues down the road. It has good space inside without one...we were able to see an actual 192 at our dealer that was sold but hadn't been picked up yet and that sold us! I also am glad we have a forum such as this, full of experience and advice as a resource. It is amazing how quickly most questions etc are responded to in order to help others...one of the main reasons I joined to add my voice vice reading the posts only.
