We would be very interested in a rally next spring/summer, but have minimal availability to help with any major planning. Indiana would be about as far west as we could go- but that would work for us! Thank you, David, for getting this rolling....the sooner we know a date, the better!

Thanks for checking in, Tusten!  I don't know that we have anything "rolling" yet, but we'll see.  I'm trying to provide a "spark" to get us thinking about what we could do.  So far, 3 of us have shown some interest in doing anything.

I understand about travelling to the Hoosier State.  If we have only one "get together", it will not be good for many.  That's what got me thinking about a "touring rally".  I've also been thinking about smaller regional get togethers (like the touring, but spaced apart).  With enough advance notice, maybe some of us could make them a part of a larger trip (I'm thinking Yosemite sounds good, next year).  If I could combine this with a Western Rally...so much the better.  I think there are a number of you who are generally Northeast and Southeast, also.  But most importantly, I am wondering what the rest of you are thinking.

Personally, I prefer a less formal/structured format.  Again, thanks!

This sounds like a lot of fun!  Sorry about not jumping in earlier.  I have been watching it though.  Something like this would cost be a ton in gas because my Jeep is set up more for off road than towing long distances.  Low gears.  But it is doable!Smile

So far, 5 have expressed interest:
One each in: Canada, New York, Kentucky, Florida and Indiana.

Would something more "middle ground" work better and/or make it more attractive for others?
I'm thinking somewhere around Shenandoah National Park/ mid Appalacia?

Again, just throwing out ideas.

If we can work it in, we'll be there.  Unfortunately next summer is a busy one with a family reunion on top of the usual camping trips.

We're from the Chicagoland area, so a trip to the area Shipshewana would be nice.  Memorial Day weekend would work out well as we'll be done with our respective school years.  First couple of weeks in June would definitely be out, and we're going to head to the rally in Kentucky in late June.

We'll be signing papers on our 182G next Saturday, so we're looking forward to the snow stop falling and for us to begin traveling with our two cats.

I've never planned a rally before, but if you are looking for some help, feel free to PM me and let's see if we can pull this off.

We'll be in Ky starting sometime in June but not available before that.  David, I love the rolling rally concept.  Hope it gets off the ground.
