I recently stayed at a campground owned by a very famous, very rich Mouse. Rental companies brought campers out to sites and set them up for visitors. When they set up the campers, they raised them very highly off the ground with blocks under the stabilizing jacks. The wheels were not off the ground, but they did have to install step extensions. Why do they do this? I thought the jacks were just to stabilize, not lift? To store things under?

It depends on the model. Some have frames strong enough to allow the jacks to be used as levelers. Those tend to have I-Beam frames. The square tubing of the RPod frames is built to save weight. It is not meant to be leveled by the jacks, but merely stabilized.
