Im looking for someone who has actually mounted a small (10 foot?) manual awning on their rpod. I believe I saw an rpod drive by that used a Yakima type roof rack system, had the bars extend over the edge of the roof several inches & mounted some type of support across those arms to attach a traditional roll out awning.
Anyone out there have any experience doing this?

I do not have experience with any of that, but plenty of people attach an awning to the keder rail, and then put a couple tarp poles to hold up the front edge.

We made an awning like mjlrpod mentioned.
We used an 8x132 tarp, some keder rail tape sewed to the edge and 3 tent poles. It works great.
