Furnace always turning off

   Hello everyone and happy new year.
I have a 2017 178 that I recently purchased used and am on one of my first trips getting to learn all I can.

One of the main things I am not figuring out is what seems to be an issue with the furnace. 

First, let me say when the furnace is running it works very well cranking out the heat. 

That said, I believe 100% of the time, when it first goes on, heats up the Rpod meeting thermostat temperature it turns off (expected) to never go on again (unexpected) UNLESS I manually flip the on/off switch off then back to on again. Every single time, something is triggered where I have to do this any time I want to run the furnace to warm this beauty up.

Any ideas?

	What style thermostat do you have? Is it a simple analogue with a slide lever at the bottom or a digital that is also tied to the A/C? From your description it would seem like a thermostat issue, not furnace since once it is running it performs as it is supposed to.

	Hi Jato - It is the dometic digital thermostat. I thought it might be a furnace issue as I needed to turn off and back on the on/off switch on the side of the furnace but it would seem less of a headache if being just a thermostat issue? Thoughts on next steps? Swap out the thermostat with another?

	To determine whether it is a tstat or a furnace issue you can simply disconnect the tstat wires at the furnace, replace that with a little switch temporarily and cycle it on and off manually. Google up Suburban 20000 btu dsi furnace manual and you'll find the schematic there with the wire color codes, as well as a troubleshooting guide. Be sure to let the furnace have time to complete a full startup and cool down cycle before trying to restart.
