Slide rubbing under fridge

   We have a 2011 177 and have loved it for 9 years.  This will be our 10th summer with it.  Was cleaning up under the fridge and notices some splinters.  Took a look and it appears like part of the slide has been rubbing underneath the fridge.  Its too tight to see exactly what its rubbing on, but I took some pictures anyway.  Has anyone had repair work done in this area?  or know what causes it?

I was thinking I might slide a 1/8" piece of sheet metal in there but looking for permanent solutions.

	Interesting our 177 was built January 2011 and looks totally different in this area than what your pic shows. Are you saying that the base of the fridge has breached the plywood/luan floor that separates it from the sliding mechanism. I changed the fridge in ours back in October 2020 and then again in February 2021 and noted the base (luan over plywood) appeared to be stout enough to support the Dometic RM 8501 fridge over the slide mechanism.

	No, the fridge hasn't come through the bottom. Something behind/attached to the silver bracket that is attached to the wall has been rubbing on the top of the under fridge storage area as it slides in and out. So its the bottom side of the plywood that the fridge sits on. I looked on the other side of the slide and can see that there are slide marks there, but it hasn't scratched away the plywood covering.

	Your thought of a 1/8" piece of sheet metal would seem like a great solution to this. It would still be nice to know how this started in the first place. Tomorrow I will get to our 177 and look more deeply into this and see if there are any other reasons why this could occur and look at other possible solutions. From your first pic it appears that there are two metal rollers inside the bracket. Is it possible they are frozen and do not spin when the slide goes back and forth over them. If they don't roll, due to lack of maintenance/lubrication it would be possible for the luan/plywood to fray as you show.

	Its possible. I'm beginning to think that maybe one of the slide wheels has failed completely. I'm going to see if I can take the silver unit off and see how it works. I'll post some pics of what I find.

	Removed the roller and one didn't move quite as well as the good side, but it still rolled. I sprayed it with silicon and it seems to run freer. For anyone interested, this is what the part looks like. The bolt through the middle is used to adjust the height of the rollers by moving a wedge back and forth. I'll be putting on a plate for the rollers to run on.
