Hello! My wife and I are brand-new to the RV lifestyle.  We are looking at an R-Pod 153.  It is a new model just being released.  We were looking at the 171 but decided it was just too tiny for us.  The 153 has more headroom and a dry bath.  Does any of you have an insight on this new model?
Thanks! Mike
Thanks, Mike

Haven't heard about a 153.  Is it a comeback model from the 151 and 152 that were produced 2009-2010?  Those were quite small as the unit was 12' long and the a frame up front was 3' so the whole trailer had a total length of 15'.

OK, just got off of the FR site and looked at the 153.  Quite a trailer with a full size, (propane/electric) fridge, impressive.  You better have a good size tv to haul that around as the empty weight is almost 3200 lbs, about 800 lbs more than my 177, and that is empty weight.

It is a bit over 17' long.  We have a Ford Explorer which can tow up to 4500 lbs.  Here is the URL: https://forestriverinc.com/rvs/travel-trailers/r-pod/RP-153/5914
Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike9999. That 153 looks like a sweet RV. It has some features I really like such as the front window and full bath. Since you are new to RV life, I think the most important thing for you, is to have a good idea of how you intend to use the RV. For my wife and I, the 153 would fit the bill: small, simple and easy to tow.

Best of luck and welcome to the forum!
