Hey guys,
It's a 2016 178 with lippert slide-out system.
Tried search but couldn't find any info. esp. on DIY.
The motor runs but slide-out won't move, though I could manually move the slide-out in and out uisng a wrench without much issue.
It might be the gear in the actuator from what I read.
Have anyone tried to remove the motor/actuator assembly and replaced gear?
Thanks a lot.

This may help you:  Schwintek Post
On mine there is a computer controller that operates the slide out.  It has a blink code when there is a failure as well as a manual bypass. On mine there was a piece of panel that was obstructing the slide out.  It doesn't take very much resistance to shut down the motors.  With mine I could shove on it while it was going out and it would eventually get out.  At any rate the link above is to some of the manuals I found.  Also the RV dealer that was close to me sent me a Schwintek troubleshooting guide.  Hope this helps

Sorry for the lack of update.

Mine is the older Lippert model (only track is below the slide out, not on the sides).

Upon further digging which involved taking apart the motor assembly, it turned out the gears are all ok without any obvious striping.

Eventually I found out that the issue was due to the shear pin broke off, which I struggled to find a replacement online.

I am using a temp solution for the moment and it works fine so far.  (the cylindrical ground prong of any computer plug actually fits almost perfectly)

I suggest you get some ratchet wrenches which can help removing the motor etc. much simpler.
