Hello all. Picked up my brand new 2023 R-pod 190 hood river edition with beast mode. Love it! Had one small question. I saw a guy near me at an rv park that did this when he unhooked. What do you think? Looks like it would cause stress on the ball and hitch. Thanks for letting me join and appreciate the input. I’ll also show pics of my set up! Much easier to pull than my last 33 footer. Photo with the jeep is my setup.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new acquisition.  Not so sure what you mean about what the guy in the rv park did when he unhooked.

+1  Maybe you meant to show us a pic. of what the guy at the rv park did?  Regardless, congratulations on your new toy.  Hopefully the issues you encounter with your 190 will be nominal or even non-existent. And welcome to your 24/7 live owners manual, it has been a real blessing to have the expertise available from 'seasoned' podders on this forum when questions or problems arise.

Thank you so much guys. Yes I meant to upload photos. I was using my phone so I guess it didn’t work. On another note has anyone tried to mount a tv on the exterior of their pod? I had one on my last trailer and would like to have it done again. Preferably below the speakers a couple feet and right in the middle between the speakers (exterior)

It is possible to mount a TV, but unless you have a way to connect it to the signal booster inside, you probably would not get much reception. However, if you are just going to use it to watch movies with a DVD/Blue Ray player, it would not be an issue. In that case, all you would need would be an outlet.

Our new trailer uses this mounting method:

Mine had brackets inside and outside plus the one to go on the television. It is easy to move the TV as needed. I would recommend a right-angle adapter for your antenna connection so you are not having to bend the cable too tightly.

Hopefully, this will help.

Yup had that same mount on my last trailer. Very familiar with it. Just wondering if anyone has done it on an R-Pod. I use a smart tv that links up to the outside speakers via Bluetooth wirelessly so no cables needed except the power cord which I already have outlets outside so that is why I want to have an outside mount as well. Thanks for the input!

Welcome to the forum! If I understand your question earlier is it OK to leave the weight distributing hitch connected to the trailer. I think the coupler would be strong enough but I think rehitching your tow vehicle would be difficult, you would need to carefully back up almost perfectly to the WDH to reatach hitch.
