So the entry steps on our 2017 R-Pod 178 are loose. The 'inboard' step mounts are bolted into the main frame rail. The 'outboard' step mounts seem to be threaded bolts/studs through a 2x4 like (not sure actual dims) wood beam that sits across the top of the frame rail on the 'inboard' end. I can pull up and down on the 'outboard' stud and see the board moving. I'm trying to figure out how the 'outboard end is mounted to support the weight or people stepping on it, while doing as little collateral damage as possible. It appears to dead end into the aluminum framing of the side wall, but I don't know how it actually attaches. I don't think it's as simple as adhesive, but I also haven't cut open the vapor barrier on the good side yet to verify. My searches also haven't yielded any meaningful posts or pictures. If anybody has any knowledge of how these wood step support beam were originally mounted, or how to remount them, it would be greatly appreciated.
