I have two dangling brake wires on the door side of our 179. I have ordered the solder connections that include heat shrink.
How do I know which wire goes to which wire since I have 4 unattached wires? Does it matter which is connected to which? Appreciate your help and wisdom.

The brake wires are not specific to positive and negative. You can't reverse the polarity of the magnet in the brakes. Just make sure that you are connecting the 2 source wires (positive and negative) that are routed on the axel each to their own wire on the brake drum. After the work is done you can pull the breakaway switch to see if the brakes engage. Just remember to reload the breakaway switch. Hope this helps.

Also, make sure that the backing plate for the brakes has not broken loose and is spinning. We had that happen with the RPod. It was a bad weld on the axle to the brake mounting plate.
