After much deliberating I decided to order a 171 from RV nation today and can't wait for some nice weather ( yeah it snowed today).

Welcome!  You will enjoy the new r-pod.  We have a 2009 R-Pod 171 and they are nice.  Don't be afraid to ask any questions you may have.

Good choice. We also live on CT (Niantic) and made the same decision when we got our 171 in 2010.
We looked at a dealer in Southington, but they wanted about $6,000 more for a fully equipped 171. The Ct dealer also added some of the features (air conditioner, micro wave, etc.) at their facility. We preferred to have this stuff installed by Forest River when they assembled the Pod. Heard too many stories of leaking air conditioners or improperly function equipment which may have been installed at the dealer.
We drive 800 miles to Ohio and had a great experience with Couch's and when we had trouble on a long trip (my fault!) Couch's and Forest River were excellent to deal with to get us up and running.
