Glad to here that! Hope the weather breaks for you. Weather Channel wasn't too optimistic this afternoon... Although I guess parts of Fla could use the rain!
We're getting good boomers here in central NJ this PM, looks like northern MD and the B/W area is getting some too.

Watch out for all the smoke and fires! I hope you get to see the launch. We usually watch it from the beach in Hilton Head. It goes right over our head. i am sure it is not the same as being there. Have fun!

Success!  The whole family finally can say they saw a launch.  On our way home now, we were hoping to be home very late tonight (2 am) but between slow traffic in Titusville with a million people trying to leave at one time and then heavy rain we are hours behind schedule.  Might have to spend the night in a rest stop as originally planned.

On our way home stilll after spending the night in a Wal-Mart parking lot.  One minor glitch, we were half way through prepping for the night (emptying out the back, piling all the stuff on the front seats) when a security patrol stopped to ask us to move to another area of the lot.  We were near all the RVs but in a darker area so we wouldn't have lights in our eyes, in the farthest possible part of the lot from the front door.  But he claimed that specific area of the lot was reserved for trucks and yes there was a truck there - I bit my lip because hanging over the guard's head as he spoke to me was a sign that said "no truck parking".  Whatever,  he was ok with us moving to another dark area of the lot.

Traffic is much better today and we are now due home an hour earlier than when we started the day.  Then we get to immediately pack to head out again tomorrow.  :-)

Glad you got to see the shuttle and the ride home hasn't been too bad. It was more fun for us thinking of you being there.
Thanks
