Hi all.  Have had a new IPod 177 for about a month.  Taken two shake down trips and am really enjoying it.  Am new to trailering and have a question: do any of you long time owners use a  weight distribution hitch and/or anti sway device? In the 500 miles we have put on the IPod so far, it has tracked perfectly behind my Nissan Titan and I have not experienced any "white knuckle" steering incidents.  Have been passed by large trucks with trailers and been in some decent cross winds all without any handling problems.  However, I have read a number of horror stories on the internet about the need for weight distribution/anti sway add on's.   What do you all think?

The Titan is a full size half ton long wheel base pickup with rear wheel drive, right? I haven't heard anyone here speak of needing either device when towing a pod with that size vehicle.

Have fun, good to have you join us.

I traded my Santa Fe v-6 for a Ford F-150. I had used the E-2 Equalizer Hitch with the V-6 and it worked very well to level the tv and trailer. I had not used it with my f-150. This weekend I tried it out with the f-150. What a difference! The tv and trailer felt like one vehicle turned well tracked well. I will use the e-2 equalizer from now on, it just felt more stable. For sure I do not need it, but it was a more relaxing drive.

I must say even without a bigger TV, my Jeep being mid-size, that the E2 does exactly that it makes it feel like one vehicle.

And we could all use more relaxing drives on our way to camp!  Smile
