Has any used 'plastic diamond plate' on your Pod front?  I was over at a DYI store and found flexible 'aluminum' plastic diamond plate 2ft x 4ft sheets.  I didn't want the weight and cost of stainless diamond plate to protect the front of the Pod.  The sheets are installed using adhesive.

I would worry about chipping from rocks going down the road.
