Battery question

Hi everyone,

My rpod is my first trailer and i have question about the battery. I have an interstate battery HD24-DP.
I know that you must add distiled water but who do i know if the battery need water. If i look inside the battery i can see grey plastic with water at the same level, is it correct?

The battery cap covers a hollow plastic cylinder about the diameter of the cap that covers it.
Remove the cap and look down into the cylinder with a light.  The electrolyte fluid (water+acid) should extend up at least to the bottom of the cylinder.  If the fluid extends into the cylinder, you have enough fluid.  If the fluid rests below the bottom of the cylinder, you need to add DISTILLED water (not tap water) until the fluid level rises up and touches the bottom of the cylinder.  If you are going to leave the battery out in the freezing cold...you need to mix the added distilled water.
The best way is to check and fill the fluid before you take the Pod out on the road.  The movement of the trailer will mix the water with the rest of fluid.  Don't top off the fluid with water and let it freeze!
