Sooo, has the haggling been fruitful?  Are you an owner now?

I've seen the 177 HRE close up and personal. Pretty sure that the axle riser adds 3" and the larger tires push it closer to 4"    ...but it probably really doesn't matter.

You already have the axle risers, so get them to throw in the R-Dome as part of the purchase.

dsmiths, the HR comes with the risers installed so it is higher by 3-4 inches. You can order the risers from FR (directly) and add them if you don't have them yet.

Haggling has begun. Indicated what I was willing to pay and the only "extra" I asked for was double batteries. Waiting for the return call.

Hey Foot S, I think I read that Hood River had higher clearance to get into rough areas, is that correct ? My wife and I just took delivery of a 11 RP-172 and have made a one day trial run, we love it and cant wait for the next outing, let us know how you come out, good luck, Dane and Donna

Located the dealer closest to us (northern Colorado) and they have a 177 model (Hood River Edition) onnthe lot. All over now but the haggling :-)
