Yes, I know this is a common mis-quote of Hamlet (alas poor Yorick.  I knew him Horatio)

However, let's not quibble over the trivial.

I did want to update on the power inverter that I bought earlier, this spring:

As the title hints, it is no longer with us.  It expired with less than one full camping season and not that many hours of use.

While it is possible that mine was an exception / lemon, I have to give the product a "thumbs down".  While it worked well when it worked, less than 5 months of occasional use is unacceptable.
I'll be exploring other options for the next camping season.

I may have given this to you already:http://palmerenergysystems.com  John is a great guy with tons of knowledge.  Believe me, he can solve your problem.

Where John lives there are NO electric lines going to his place.  He lives off of the power grid.  Except for welding (genset powered) everything runs off batteries and solar panels.

EDIT: For whatever reason the link won't take you directly to his web site.  It pulls up a Yahoo page.  Look for Palmer Energy Systems.

Edit: fixed!  - techntrek

Thats too bad . I had troubles with my Iota converter on my sob and they sent me a new one without even giving back the bad one. I was very happy with the service. I think they sell inverters as well I would definately recommend them.
