I just purchased a used Rpod 172.  Sitting and moving around the dinette is difficult as the table is too large for the space.  Any creative solutions that look good and are easy?Ying Yang

The table is made to be exactly as big as the space.. so it can be lowered into position for a bed..

We generally eat outside, on a small portable table under the dome, or at the picnic tables.. inside table is for farkle, and a side prep area when cooking indoors.

You could just not use the table.. and just use that area more as a "lounge".. ?

A smaller table could be made, table tops are not much more than sheet goods with an attractive finish..

That's what I do.  I've had the table lowered on my 172 since I got it.  I use that area as a lounge and love nest.  Hehe...  Unfortunately, one of my soft wood braces broke off and half the table slipped downward.  All I did was take anchor screws and shored up the wood braces so that it would offer more support for the table and the love nest above.  That wood that they use for the braces are awful soft and this is why the screws they installed pulled right out of the soft wood.  It sure feels more sturdy now.  Wink
