The interior will last longer and look nicer if one keeps water from it. The outside seals must be maintained, but beyond that water can get at the wood from the inside. The seams between the floor and walls and the seam between the kitchen sink and walls are also ways in which water can get at the wall wood.
The walls around the door are especially vulnerable because people entering bring moisture on their shoes. Also when the floors or counters are washed moisture can get at the walls. Thus there are ways inside of the trailer that can damage the trailer. Clear silica sealer around all of these seams will help keep moisture from the wood and keep the pod looking good. I sealed the kitchen top today and noticed that the seal put in at the factory had broken in a couple of spots; no doubt due to the shifting when the trailer is moved. Keep the pod looking good and seal the seams. |

Good idea, I'll have to check my countertop.
