   Mine is plugged into shore power whenever it is parked at home.  It stays plugged in with the refrigerator powered-on.  While not in use, we use or pod for storage of various paper products and things that need to be kept cool.
I'm still interested in the OP's reasoning behind his initial post.  Why are you leaving the AC on in the R-Pod if it's not being used?  I don't understand at all.
