Our not so good friend Isaac might make things a bit soggy but I plan on going camping this weekend.  We are catching some scattered outer bands today.  The brunt of the storm is supposed to be Monday through Wednesday so who knows.  Isaac is a pretty big boy at about 400 to 500 miles across.  Saint Augustine, on the Atlantic coast is only about 110 air miles from the gulf coast.  So the eye could miss Florida's coast by 200 miles and still get us.  Some times its a bummer living on a big sand bar!

Yeah, but the other 95% of the year that's a nice sand bar to live on.  :-)

True!  Actually the hurricanes are, for the most part, just an annoyance.  Most of them miss this part of the state.  We get more damage from "nor-easters".

Those nor'easters do damage to all the sand bars on the east coast, including this one!
