Has anyone used a dual receiver hitch on their TV.  The top receiver holding a cargo carrier, and the botton holding the Pod.  My TV is a Ford Excursion w 7.3l diesel.

The TV should handle it OK, but it might be a little tricky getting the tongue weight properly compensated.

Unless the cargo weight is close to identical from trip to trip, the differing load forces at the tow ball can be
enough to require a different setting of the WDH, (assuming you are using one, which you should under
these circumstances).  Most hitch manufacturers offer a good tutorial on WDH set-up which may be
downloaded from the web as a PDF.  If you have trouble finding one, PM me, and I'll look up the address
for you.

The same concerns apply to loads in the rear of the TV, but to a much lesser extent.  The moment of
force is less in that it isn't cantilevered.

Interesting, I've never heard of dual receivers at the rear of the TV.  Usually people ask about using the receiver extension hitches (which shouldn't be used for several reasons) so they can add a bike rack.  Or, they add a 2nd receiver at the front of the vehicle.  I've considered the later but it would require me to cut the cowl below my front bumper so I've stayed away.
