I agree. Sometimes it's worse, because an animal can't say, 'Help me, I'm being mistreated!'

We camp with 2 dogs. The newest, a 90+ pound lab/hound mix always liked camping but missed the couch. R Pod solved that for her.

We spent 6 weeks 16 miles NW of Hot Springs Ar with one small dog and our half siamese cat.

Cat freaked out a bit the first day. Spent all day in the cat carrier in the car. Got carried into our Rpod 189, released. Within an hour he had urinated in the middle of the bed. Which prompted mom to go to walmart and buy 2 sleeping bags, which did zip together and did make a better solution.

But that was the only real problem we had with either.

Cat did end up spending nights in the carrier in the pod because when he got hungry around 4am he would jump up and walk around on my wife's face until she got up to feed him.

Dog sometimes slept with us in the bed (16 lbs but a terrible bed hog) but was mostly encouraged to sleep on the couch.

Biggest issue was finding a place to put a water dish where it did not get tripped over and spilled constantly.

We did convert our shower to a closet. Catbox, wastebasket, and litter on bottom, dirty clothes basket, odds and ends first shelf up. Mostly food above that and a few odds and ends.

On the whole, a very good experience. Cat was much less trouble than we expected, turned into a good traveler. Dog did not want to go home. He LOVED it there.

One Pomeranian and one African Gray parrot. Both love to travel and camp, and neither adds much to the rig gross weight. Mealtime the parrot travel cage just fits in the shower and tucks under the bathroom sink. At night and when not cooking her cage sits behind the stove in the corner. The Pom sleeps on the bed of course.
