Was instructed by M to get a patio mat for the dome before our first trip out next month.  I know that the dome has a footprint of @ 9 x 11, so my question for those of you that have and are using a patio mat with the dome:

6 x 9 size or 9 x 12 size?

I use a 9x12 It sticks out a little but that does not cause me any problems.

Here's a link you might want to look at:

We just used this particular mat for the first time last week.  As Seanl said, it protrudes a foot or so past
the 'Dome, and doesn't quite span the entire width, but anything smaller would not be worth it, and
anything larger, IMO, would be unwieldy.

It packs nicely into the optional storage bag and sweeps clean for storage and next use.  We really like it!

(edit)-  We also got the stake-downs.  The weave is tight enough to do the job, but allows for tent stakes
to be driven through the mat at strategic points if you need to restrain wandering Cocker Spaniels.

We bought the 6x9 which left room around the edges.  The little bit of room was enough for the dogs to dig holes in the dirt and create a mess. I would go for the one that is bigger.
