Picked up a new eurotop short queen mattress from campingworld, they had a good sale going. I will not be able to un-pack it for a couple of months since my pod is in storage. does any one know how long i can keep it in the shipping tube without damage? i asked this question to camping world with no response yet.

I would think that it would not hurt it at all to stay in the shipping tube. You have to figure that after it was manufactured it sat in the tube for at least a few months while it was warehoused, shipped and stored at Campingworld for a time before you bought it.    Goose

My recommendation is to open it up and lay it flat somewhere.  That's the rule of thumb with elasticord tent poles and camping mats - store them where they aren't stretched/compressed all the time between uses.

I wouldn't think it would hurt it a bit to just leave it boxed up, and it will make it WAY easier to put in. I have pulled ours out once after putting it in.. It's a lot stiffer and heavier than stock... mattress.

OH, and a WHOLE lot better sleeping. Wink
