Anyone changed out the original  microwave to perhaps something smaller,  ( though it is a good storage area during travel ), more efficient,  or perhaps to something like a toaster oven?  Is this something I can switch out, or is it another visit to the Service Department ....
Thanks,

W

A smaller microwave would be alright, I don't know about using a toaster oven in the same spot because of the amount of heat that it gives off. Should be able to pull out the microwave and unplug it in the back. Goose

Did some research last year before we ordered ours.  Lots of microwaves, only, will fit.  The problem arises when you want the convection feature also.  Other combo's are too large to fit in the opening.  Might want to ask how many use the convection feature.  Safe Travels.

We don't have the microwave option in our 152 and love the space for storage.  The only time we miss the microwave is when it's cold, wet and miserable outside and we don't want to stink up the pod cooking and want to avoid condensation.

We to like the convection feature, sometimes we like it for a pizza. And to add we use the microwave more than the stove. David

Our 172 has the microwave with the convection oven option. We have gotten lazy and instead of heating water in a tea pot on the stove we do it in the microwave. coffee for me and tea for Donna. the convection oven is handy for biscuits and small dishes. Typically we do not cook heavy when camping, no chicken and dumpling, roast, potatoes etc. the microwave/convection oven is a nice touch. P.S. you can do pizza's in the convection oven. good smells.
