Hi Folks,

Just a quick note to saw hello from Bend, OR. We (Anne and Tim) are brand new 178 owners after finally deciding to upgrade from a Eurovan. We are mountain biking fanatics so the 178 works out perfectly for us and our two Golden Retrievers (Haley and Buddy). So far I have been stealing a bunch of mods in the forums and will be adding some of our own.

Tim

Welcome. Enjoy your Rpod. There are a lot of new 178 owners. I wish they had had it when I was buying.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the Pod purchase!

I had a second-aunt who lived in the Prineville area on a huge ranch ... got to visit many times when I was growing up in the NW.  Love the Bend area!
P & M ... and Comet too!

Hi Mark and Sue,

The Eurovan was great but just not big enough for us and the dogs and all of our "stuff" we like to bring with us when camping. Turned out we had to bring multiple cars with us in the end. So, the next logical step was to go the rPod route...

We saw our first in person Eurovan this past weekend.  Thought it was absolutely amazing.

But I can see how you might be strapped for room if you had much along the lines of camping items.

The 178 is a nice upgrade choice, congratulations!

Welcome!  Fine choice of floor plans.  We are very satisfied with our 177, but had the 178 been an option,
I think we would have gone for it.  The Campin' Cocker Spaniels don't consume as much space as your Goldens,
but recalling from my high school physics, volume, (and therefore, additional volume), is a cubic function!
Enjoy the extra space, and travel safely.

Welcome Tim and Anne,
We're new 178 owners too.  We first saw the R-pods about 3 months ago, and in that time we researched and decided on the 178.  We walked into Poulsbo RV and when asked "May I help you?", I said "Yes, we are here to buy an RP-178."  Being in the Northwest, I was perfectly willing to drive south to Oregon and get one from the factory if they couldn't accommodate.  As it turned out, they had one on the lot that hadn't been sold yet.  It was equipped as we were looking for and 3 days later it was on the hitch.  All clean and pretty and ready for adventures.
I hope it's all you need for years to come.  It will be for us!
