Greetings r-pod owners. We have a 2011 r-pod182G and love it! From Franklin, Ma we went to the Florida Keys in Feb and recently returned from a two week jaunt down to the Smokey Mtns, up thru KY and back home thru West Va and Pa. Pulling with a 2010 Honda Pilot, and use the anti-sway bar with absolutely no issues. Remove when backing up! Ran into a water heater issue while in Tenn. After hooking up to city water, opening up the sink faucets initially we thought all was well. Turned on the water heater and the red reset light went on. Found the reset button, (two of them) but that didn't work. Also noticed that the on/off switch for the heater was off. Should it have been on all this time, or only when using city water? Not sure about how to get the red light issue solved. We also use the dome (cabana) and love it! My wife and I put it up in 15 min, with silicone in the track really making it easy. Picked that tip up from reading this wonderful forum. Hope to see you on the road, happy trails as Roy Rogers used to say.

Your on/off switch is if you wanted to run your water heater on shore power instead of using propane.  A lot of people will run it electric like that if they are hooked up, no point in wasting even that little bit of LP.

As far as your reset light with the propane setting, first thing I'd be sure to check would just to be to try to light the stove burners and once they are lit then try lighting the water heater.  Sometimes lighting another appliance gets things sorted out and something that previously wasn't lighting will then fire right up just fine.

Occasionally I had to do this process in order to test my furnace each season.

The Water heater runs on Propane or electric or both. The switch on the water heater is for the electric. Only turn this on when there is water in the tank. If you turn it on when no water in the tank it will burn out the electrical element in 2 seconds. The water heater switch inside the cabin is for the gas. If the gas burner does not ignite within a given time limit it gives up trying and the reset light comes on. So it sounds like you have an igniter problem. blow out the gas venti with complressed air and reset water heater again and see if it comes on.
