Can anyone tell me if they have had or heard of the R Dome coming out the channel after it's put up? We have a relatively new 178 and have installed the R Dome 4 times and it will come out of the track for a foot at times and in different areas of the channel. Is there a different "bead" or "rope" size for different R Pod models where we may have gotten the wrong R Dome from the dealer? Thanks for any help and feel free to ask if you need a better description of the problem. Hopefully it's been discussed here before and I just didn't see it.

Yes, you've hit the nail on the head.  The earlier r-pods had a smaller-diameter rail.

Thanks. I will now have to see what the dealer says and what they will do under warranty.

Here's a little more detail, courtesy of PahaQue (maker of an aftermarket awning):
Forest River used two sizes of awning rail on the R-Pod trailers. Older models may have a smaller awning rail that has an inside diameter of .40" (10mm). Newer models have the larger, .563" (14mm) inside diameter rail. A quick way to tell is if your rail appears to have an inside diameter larger then 1/2", you have the newer, larger rail.
